Google plans to launch Suncatcher satellite to test AI computing in space

Google plans to launch an orbital data center prototype on October 1 to test AI computing in space. The satellite will have four TPUs and will assess radiation and temperature effects as well as its cooling system; tests are expected to run for only 15 minutes at a time.
